Let’s slow down and take care of YOU.

Welcome! I’m Jacqueline. I help young professionals and students in their 20s and 30s to find their balance in this chaotic world, so that they can finally enjoy all they’re doing and working for—instead of letting anxiety, stress, and insecurities call the shots.

WHO I HELP

My clients are thoughtful, conscientious, and smart. They want meaningful lives and authentic relationships, and they’re lucky to have some great, supportive people around. Yet while they’ve accomplished some of the goals they’d envisioned for life, when they first come into see me, it feels like they can’t appreciate any of it.

Some of them are Type A overachievers who are starting to feel exhausted and burnt out by all they’re doing, and are realizing they’re not on a sustainable path. Others feel lonely and disconnected. They struggle behind the scenes with nonstop worry and a constant stream of self-critical thoughts. They can’t stop thinking about all the ways they’re falling short, or all the things that can go wrong.

Of course they know that other people have their struggles, but they can’t help but feel weird and defective—like everyone else must know some secret to life that they don’t.

In fact, they have lots of compassion for others around them; it’s much harder for them to be kind to themselves! They may put work or other people first, rather than acknowledging their own needs and boundaries. They once hoped that if they excelled at what they did and made other people happy, things would just fall into place. Yet because of how they’re feeling, it’s hard to be fully present…so they can’t actually be the friend, employee, or partner they want to be.

They work so hard for the life that they want, yet they can’t fully enjoy the results of their work. They think, plan, and analyze, but they can’t quite pinpoint what they’d need to feel better. They do know that they feel like a fraud and their confidence is tanking.

Before they came to see me, they felt guilty and frustrated. In many aspects of life, they had already done the things that are supposed to lead to happiness—but they just weren’t there. Yet for a while, they had been on the fence about starting therapy, because things were not totally out of control.

But like my clients, you deserve to take the time each week to prioritize yourself. You don’t need to wait until you’ve hit rock bottom to start. Reach out anytime to get started!
